Introducing Tab Constellation: Automatic Tab Grouping Done Right
I built Tab Constellation to do one thing well: automatically group Chrome tabs by domain with zero setup.
Kevin Logan
After trying a couple dozen Chrome extensions that claim to group tabs, I realized none of them worked quite the way I wanted. I wanted something simple, a tool that groups tabs by domain, automatically, with zero setup or configuration. That's it.
Instead of continuing to dig through endless listings, I decided to build it myself. Meet Tab Constellation, an extension that automatically organizes your tabs by domain, keeping your browser clean and your workflow focused, no extra steps required.

Why I Built It
While working on this project, I was heavily inspired by the idea of opinionated tools like Prettier. It takes a strong stance on how your code should be formatted, removes a lot of unnecessary decision-making, and lets you focus on what matters: creating quality software.
That's exactly what I wanted Tab Constellation to be. If you're like me and you tend to keep tons of browser tabs open, you probably don't want another dashboard or a dozen knobs to turn, you just want your tabs automatically grouped in a simple, predictable way so you can stay focused.
Try It Out
You can install the extension directly from the Chrome Web Store here:
